Greg has always loved endurance sport and outdoor adventure.  His career began by volunteering at a wilderness camp as a riverfront lifeguard and high ropes course supervisor.  He then completed two marathons, one triathlon, and volunteered as a secondary maths educator in Colombia, South America.  Dreams of more adventure took him to New Zealand and Hong Kong to gain experience as a certified educator within a variety of environments and age groupings.  These teaching positions motivated Greg to begin crafting authentic development activities that prioritize student confidence, individuality, interest, and moral character.

Experience with the balanced International Baccalaureate curriculum and Greg’s graduate work with Hong Kong students have confirmed that positive transformation happens most powerfully when students collaborate, initiate, and experience.  At the heart of his mentoring approach is the belief that each person is born with a unique potential to bring value to the world.  Greg’s wife, Sonia, founded a much-needed performing arts studio in Ma On Shan, Hong Kong.  Rhythm Dance now has 300 registered students who participate in annual examinations and an end-of-year show (

The new Burning Bush HK Training Centre has been designed to help anyone who wants to push past their usual limitations to live life to the fullest.  The participants are trained in life purpose, bushcraft, survival skill, discipline, sustainable living, life coaching, mathematics, and English language.  We are encouraging other passionate individuals or groups to use our IT Classroom and/or the Art Workshop at our Base Camp in Tai Wai.  Please contact me for more information.
